BIG Weekends are intense, fun, hands-on introductions to entrepreneurship. You will meet others – students, faculty, staff, and alumni – interested in startups and solving interesting challenges through new business ventures.

You can participate fully with just over 24 hours of commitment, packed into a vibrant weekend beginning Friday evening and wrapping up Saturday evening. We’ll provide food, motivation, and a dynamic environment.

If you’re ready to explore entrepreneurship, try a BIG Weekend! Come whether or not you have a business idea. Come ready to lead or join a team. We will have interesting speakers, an Idea Board, and coaches ready to help you create a team and develop your proposal and present your startup venture. This is a great way to find a team to participate in our annual UIC Startup Challenge!

Experienced entrepreneurs, business leaders, alumni and others will be speakers, coaches, and judges.
